Dusty Ducts, Inc. is state licensed & insured. Our State of Michigan Mechanical License number is 71-11120 and our Michigan Department of Agriculture License number is 820186. Licensing of Duct Cleaners: Cleaning of any HVAC system is both maintenance and service. If an individual elects to only remove the registers and clean from those openings, a license is not required. If an individual alters the ductwork by cutting and patching a license is required with the ductwork #3 classification. Applying Sanitation or a Deodorizer to the ductwork: The State of Michigan Department of Agriculture now requires duct cleaning companies to be Registered and Certified to apply any microbial product in the ductwork, category 5b Microbial Pest Management.
